Onslaught is a powerful, sentient psionic entity in Marvel Comics. He was unintentionally created from the merging of two incredibly powerful minds: Professor Charles Xavier's and Magneto's.

During a particularly brutal battle with the X-Men, Magneto ripped the adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton. Xavier, horrified by Magneto's actions, used his telepathy to shut down Magneto's mind. In doing so, Xavier absorbed Magneto's darkest emotions and repressed rage into his own psyche.

These negative emotions, combined with Xavier's own long-held frustrations and the sheer magnitude of his power, festered and grew within him. Eventually, these energies coalesced and manifested as an independent being: Onslaught. He possessed a vast array of psionic abilities, combining the powers of both Xavier and Magneto, and represented the darkest aspects of mutantkind.

Onslaught posed a significant threat to the Marvel Universe, even managing to defeat the Avengers and the X-Men simultaneously. His existence forced heroes to make difficult choices and question their own moral codes. He is typically depicted as a large, imposing figure clad in red armor, embodying raw power and psionic energy.
